On March 25th we open our "Public Beta", anybody who signups from that date until the end of April will get the first month for $10 or £10 (depending on your location)
Starting on May 1st, the default pricing will be as follows:
For all existing Private Beta Testers !! (people who signed up BEFORE March 25th), we have not forgotten your help , those beta testers will not be charged until May 1st, after that your pricing will be $10/£10 per node for 6 months (until November), then the pricing will revert to the default one.
Since we started taking registrations for beta, we have received over 600 requests from people interested in being a beta tester so far!
Not bad when you consider we have not yet ran any advertising on VPS.NET, nor is our US Cloud is setup yet (it will be next week)... The VPS.NET team is overjoyed with the response we have got from the current Beta members (150+), everybody seem to love the incredibly easy and fast deployment method, using our "Node Slider", plus the piece of mind that comes from hosting in the cloud.
And still we have much more to come, so stay tuned and visit often
Since we announced the pricing 2 weeks ago, we have been reading and listening to the various comments people had about it, we assumed we had nailed it the first time around.. but you know what they say about assuming too much .. dont !
As such, we have gone back to the drawing board and squeeze every penny and pence we could out of the CFO, and have come up with the following changes:
1 - Double the Mhz per node, from 200Mhz to 400Mhz
By increasing the Mhz we make each node more powerful and capable, a better value on itself.
2 - Lowers the pricing per node.
So yes, not only we doubling the CPU, we are making the cost of each node cheaper as well, who said the VPS Cloud cannot be cheap as chips ? (no, you cannot have chips also)
Despite all these great discounts, we might even floats a few extra discount coupons here and there, just keep your eyes and ears open wide for those as well
Finally, the day has come where we open up the VPS Cloud to be beta tested.
We ask all the testers to please keep in mind this is a Beta, and as such, we expect a few bugs and problems to arise, the objective is to find any issues now before we go Live and start charging for it
Having said that, please do keep backups of any date you place on your VPS, make sure to register in the forums and leave us lots of feedback
I have received some emails from Beta testers asking or their signup information, it seems it's not just us who are getting excited, they cant wait to get into the VPS Cloud and start playing
Almost there .. one more day and we will be sending the signup info and unique beta codes, but from those of us internally that have already setup some VPS Nodes ... trust me, the wait is worthed it, you will love it !!
We where just doing a few speed tests from within a VPS on the cloud, seeing that the entire network is Gbit based, we expected to see speeds above 100Mps .. and we did
