We've deployed our new License Manager this morning. This will be the system we use for all current and future licenses managed by VPS.NET
For now it supports:
cPanel
ISPManager*
ServerDensity
rvSkin
Softaculous
Litespeed*
In the near future it will also support KSplice.
Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions! :)

What is the * for and why can I only see cPanel/ISPManager when creating a new VPS? :)

I see what is going on. Softalicious, and RVskin are Cpanel addons, so you only have the option to get the license when you have a cpanel license.
Nick there are problems with this. What if im using the OpenVZ image and have a few of my own VMs and want to get these licenses. As far as I can tell it would not be possible at this point.
I really think it would be best to move the License Manager off of specific VMs and have it seperate. for example
I want to get a softalicious license for my openVZ cpanel server. I should go to the license manager, enter the IP of the VM that i want the license for and then I should be good to go.
I don't like that I have to go into each VM to manage licenses. It really should be separate.

I feel the same way. Nice to have an overview of all your licenses in one place. And not so much click-click-click.

We will make Litespeed available for purchase without cPanel
As for a License Manager outside of Edit VM..that's a next step.

While I have a bit of a dislike for Litespeed with their crazy license terms and I'm more of a Sun Webserver guy(RIP); I've been eager to try them out at some point without having to commit to something long term.

Will all of the options be available via the License Manager?

The VPS license is currently offered.
The *'s mean there is not an API and we do it manually still (so only billing is automated)

It seems the LiteSpeed VPS license is only meant for VPSs with no more than 2GB of memory. Will the other LiteSpeed licenses be made available?

When you order via the control panel it'll open a ticket, just let them know you want the full server license, and they will take care of it.

As much as you (and I) may not like plesk, it is a popular option and some do prefer it to cpanel. I would think its in VPS.Nets best interest to have as many options as possible.

Fantastico..we have softaculous and would prefer to support just one autoinstaller. Softaculous imports from Fantastico.
And DirectAdmin will be added soon.

So about my OpenVz containers. If I want to get cpanel, or lightspeed for one of those will I just have to submit a support ticket still?
