So about my OpenVz containers. If I want to get cpanel, or lightspeed for one of those will I just have to submit a support ticket still?

That's good about Direct Admin. Shame about Plesk as one of the clients I work with requested it, hopefully this won't be a regular request, as personally I hate Plesk.

One thing this does leave me curious about is, when you eventually offer Windows VPS's will you be using Enkompass from cPanel then? or Only offering Remote Desktop to connect? I know it's probably a long way off, but just curious. I thought you would have opted for plesk with Windows VPS.

We haven't even got to the point of considering all that yet.

Really? That does surprise me. I remember back last year we were told that it would be released around Feb/March? Has it all been put on the back burner for now?

No it's definitely not on the backburner. It's actually "running" on vps.net. sort of.

But as far as what control panels we will offer..

Ah, that makes sense. I remember reading somewhere back that someone was apparently beta testing this for you. I think it was all supposed to be a bit hush hush even though he mentioned it in his blog.

Not positive, but pretty sure there's nobody beta testing it outside our company..

CloudLinux will be billed differently, as there's no reason to provide an option of turning on/off cloudlinux billing - you're either using it (and being charged) or not :)

I disagree entirely!

CloudLinux is no different than any other licensed program
and this may be news to many but it can be both installed
and removed without a server reload and does not require
that the "CloudLinux" images be used to be installed.

It is very easy to convert a CentOS installation to CloudLinux

Also, it is very simple to convert a CloudLinux installation to CentOS

I have personally done both --- many times

(Technically you can make it run without a license too but that is entirely beyond the point )

What I am saying here is that like Cpanel you can't assume that CloudLinux is being installed with VPS.NET's CloudLinux images so there is actually a need for it to be in the license manager.

We've added this to the Dev plans.
