In case anyone didn't see the tweet, we now also support scheduled bursts without disk rebuilds :)

I just removed a storage node, configuring it to delay this until 2010-08-09 @ 23:00 EDT (2010-08-10 @ 04:00 BST). It went and did it immediately, and my server is now down for up to an hour during business hours! AAARRRGGGHHH!

Ticket 39020 raised. :-(

i resized from 8 to 10 nodes and it takes 30 minutes. thats too long in my opinion, i also resized diskspace.

When does resizing without rebooting service become available?

It is always available when upgrading. Just choose the box that says, "Please do not upgrade my storage."
