Hi All,

Within the next hour we will be enabling a FreeBSD image in Chicago Zone A. This is a very exciting time for us as you can imagine - we've been working now quite awhile on getting FreeBSD stable in the cloud and we're finally there.

We'll be beta testing FreeBSD in Chicago Zone A, and hopefully will launch it to the rest of the clouds in the coming week or two.

Thank you!
Nick Nelson

This is great news. Have been waiting a long time for a reliable FreeBSD VPS in Europe.

Will you be offering x64 versions as well?

Well, I don't know about everyone else but I'm just sat here in the UK twiddling my thumbs and bouncing in anticipation for this! I've waited *so* long for a good UK VPS host to provide FreeBSD support. It could be run via Xen back in the pre-8.0 days but now it has better VPS support and my favorite host is planning to add it - can't wait!!

What's the latest ETA on getting this image over to the UK? Also, do you accept bribes to offer me this image as a custom image early? ;D

doh

I joined vps.net < 24 hrs ago and while I'm ok with Linux, I'm an old die hard FreeBSD player. Seems I just missed out on the betas. I'm gonna cry ..

Kinda ironic, I came here with a view to shutting down my co-located FreeBSD boxen.

But all that's ok .. I have one little node at this stage just to suss out this product. So tell me, is VPS planning to lob some FrisbeeD on some other clouds/zones?

pretty please

Oh. So far, I'm very happy with this product. Thanks

Anthony

I like. While I'm not using VPS.NET in a production capacity just yet, I love tinkering with it and I love the fact that I can finally setup FreeBSD and learn the ropes.
