Hi,
just trying to transfer a few domains from autica.com (midphase) and I was thinking that I really didn't need a cpanel interface if I wanted to just do it manually I could just add extra domains to my VPS (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Does this sound reasonable?
I've used cpanel for years but I'm not afraid of learning to live without it if it saves me $10 per month.
So if ISP Manager Pro is free does it make more sense for me to have that installed and live without cpanel? Does anybody think this will handle my somewhat limited needs as a reseller? Or will I just be better off getting it installed?
If so, I was wondering if someone could post a link to a screen shot of a properly set up dns template just so I could see it and then maybe I can wing it the rest of the way here.
My main reason for leaving autica.com is just how slow the server is to load my sites. Shared hosting is not for the non-profit, especially the email servers which are almost constantly under attack it seems. We are discussing moving our email server to Salsa just because these guys work on email full time guaranteeing whitelisted servers for our email blasts. I'm tired of fighting with AOL over non-profit emails.

It's easy living without the control panel for virtual domains.
Here is the DNS template I use for domains with Google apps.

@rossdev, thanks for the template, it will help me out for sure. One thing on the MX records, though. ASPMX 4 & 5 are no longer supported. They were kept in the documentation for far too long but you may lose mail if you include them now. Check it out http://www.google.co...y?answer=174125
Also, for anyone looking at this now the name servers should be ns1.softlayer.com. and ns2.softlayer.com. Apparently the other ones were deprecated from reading other threads.
