Looks like they were upgrading the LON-C cloud to onapp or something this morning.
Did anyone get notification that this was going to happen?
I didn't seem to get any notification that it was, just wondering where I should be monitoring for this kind of info.

Nope, no warning what so ever, the first I knew about it was when I woke up to find my server offline and a post on the status blog about it 30 mins before it happened.
To make matters worse, I've just discovered that my server has been in "read-only mode" ever since it came back online yesterday, causing several sites to be offline. Seriously VPS.NET do you not check these things? Good thing I've almost finished my migration away from VPS.NET, it just keeps getting worse.

I'm not the only one then.
My main server was in read-only mode. Rebooted, but it's struggling to come back online. Please sort this out!
Also, who does upgrades at 10:00AM GMT?!?!

indeed for a london cloud that was a pretty stupid move, i keep getting told on twitter that emails go out in advance but my clients wouldnt come to me when server is down if they did, at least 3 of my clients when they were with vps.net said to me they never recieved any email from vps.net, only invoices, newsletters and support ticket replies

I eventually got them to fix my server, apparently there was somehow 2 instances of it running on different hypervisors.

We also do not get any e-mails regarding announces of (planned) outages - since w're using GoogleApps this is definitely a vps-issue, or there are no e-mails at all ...
