Where is no any scheduled backups (daily, weekly, monthly, manual) in appropriate section of two my VPS located in London Zone-C. I created a ticket two days ago but result is nothing... I only got a answer: "There is unfortunately a bug in the backend software we use that powers our backup process."

In fact my servers are running without any backups now... I am so frustrated... It is very dangerous situation because VPS.NET is very unstable thing... Our servers crushes at least twice a week...

This is terrible!

Same issue here, tech support gave the following insightful and helpful response to me.

Quote

"Unfortunately the software provider that allows for our snapshot backup system has a bug in it, which prevents backups from being created with larger VPSs. We typically recommend you instead opt for our rsync backups.

Then I explained that my VPS was not that big and was told...

unfortunately backups does not work correctly almost for all VMs. rsync can backup whole server the main difference is that it will take more time to recover data in case is something goes wrong.

Now I find that my RSYNC backups are also failing. So despite paying extra for double backup redundancy I am effectively wasting my money and still risking everything!

Yeah snapshots on one of my servers aren't working again either. This was a major problem with vps.net a little while ago but it's been okay for a while...looks like it's back :(

Makes me very nervous knowing one of my servers hasn't been backed up since 21st November! It's the same old argument we all had last time this was happening....vps.net shouldn't be charging for something that they can't properly provide, especially if it's as important as backups!

Mine is still not fixed! Really Really unhappy with VPS at the moment. Backups are critical to me and I'm losing so much time running manual backups and downloading them.

Come on guys, get the rsync and snapshot servers working properly.

The snapshot backups should be fixed by the end of this month.

Rsync backups will be fixed by the end of this week.

Yay! They started working again today! :-) A little late, but very welcome!

Correction: they started working for ONE of my accounts. The other is still reporting a read-only filing system. Should I raise a ticket, or is this expected?
