Server restarting itself
27 December 2011 - 02:48 PM
Hi
I am in desperate need for a little guidance regarding the config of my webserver.
Things have been running fine for a long LONG time, but, over the last month or 2, my web server has started hanging almost daily due to extremely high resource usage.
I've attached "ps -ef" and "top" output that was run every 5 seconds from a restart until the server hung (removing about 8 hours worth of "happy server time" and keeping about 5 minutes worth of log files before the high resource usage).
Is there anything you can spot in the log files that might show you what's causing the hanging? I can see that swap usage climbs until it maxes out, and I'm guessing that the system swapping like a freek is causing the hanging, but, what settings would you need to see regarding mySQL and Apache that would help you to help me (if possible)?
thanks in advance for your guidance. -
exim and local_part_suffix
15 September 2011 - 11:59 PM
Hi
I've been searching for HOURS now and I can't find anything to help me.
What I'm trying to do is the following:
- I have an email address like "news@home.com"
- I send out emails to subscribers using this address
- the return address (for bounce tracking) contains a user ID, something like "news+999@home.com"
I've tried adding the following 2 lines to exim.conf in the "userforward:" section:
local_part_suffix = +* local_part_suffix_optional
But I still get my mail being rejected with
550 550 No Such User Here
Does anybody have any idea what I could be doing wrong? Am I looking in the wrong place?
thanks for your help. -
Adding Comodo SSL Certificates using Webmin
02 September 2011 - 04:37 PM
Is there ANY chance somebody would be willing to give me a little guidance regarding this?
The reason I'm struggling is there was a field prompting for "Certificate authorities file" and I have no idea where to get that from.
I've googled and attempted to try and create it, but no such luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
