Varnish can run on the same machine. It's a "web application accelerator", and does much more than just serve static content. I use it on all my cpanel servers, as well as some Ubuntu servers hosting wordpress sites.

These are the IP ranges CloudFlare uses:

204.93.240.0/24
204.93.177.0/24
199.27.128.0/21
173.245.48.0/20

Was Yoast really a client "from their very beginning in fact"? I don't think so.

Use scp to transfer the file to the new server:

scp filename user@ipaddress:/path/to/directory/
5. In Topic: Tell us what you think...

31 July 2011 - 07:26 PM

There was a LOT of good honest feedback and many very good suggestions on ways to improve the service in this forum, most from longtime clients, all of which was deleted.

I've been a client for a VERY long time, and at one time had hundreds of nodes and 50+ servers, before I realised that vps.net is a BAD place to host important websites.

Although, I did try that template out once, and if I remember correctly: 1. From SSH, I had to run "adduser ftp root" to create an ftp account for root. 2. Then I could connect using Filezilla on SFTP (normal ftp didn't work) with root / root password 3. To access the wp admin, I had to go to VPS Virtual Private Server Cloud | UK / USA address/wp-admin/index.php because VPS Virtual Private Server Cloud | UK / USA address/wp-admin didn't work I'm not sure how to create the email accounts, though. I think you have to install postfix first. Steve

Hello ZeroDeth I'm really sorry, but I use cpanel on all my servers, because it makes things so much easier to setup and manage. Ask you question on the forum -- I'm sure someone will step in to help you. Steve
