  1. In Topic: Worst hosting experience I've ever had

    20 December 2011 - 11:00 PM

I've been with VPS.NET for over 2 years. I've lost count of the number of times I've given them a "second chance" when I've experienced downtime and poor communication, and have just moved the last of my sites off the VPS.NET platform, as they are seriously bad for business. So many times we've been told things will improve, but I've seen zero evidence of it. Goodbye VPS.NET.

I'm not the only one then.

My main server was in read-only mode. Rebooted, but it's struggling to come back online. Please sort this out!

Also, who does upgrades at 10:00AM GMT?!?!

I eventually got them to fix my server, apparently there was somehow 2 instances of it running on different hypervisors.
  3. In Topic: Maintenance on LON-C

    10 November 2011 - 10:48 AM

Nope, no warning what so ever, the first I knew about it was when I woke up to find my server offline and a post on the status blog about it 30 mins before it happened.

To make matters worse, I've just discovered that my server has been in "read-only mode" ever since it came back online yesterday, causing several sites to be offline. Seriously VPS.NET do you not check these things? Good thing I've almost finished my migration away from VPS.NET, it just keeps getting worse.
  4. In Topic: DNS Settings for Subdomain

    27 September 2011 - 05:39 PM

When you create the subdomain in cPanel it will let you specify the directory it should point to.

Then in the DNS simply create an A record to point to the server IP address, for example for mysubdomain.example.com, HOST would be mysubdomain and POINTS TO would be your IP address.
  5. In Topic: London C - Same problem 4 times in 2 days!?

    06 September 2011 - 08:23 PM

My server finally appears to be useable.
