How to add Failover DNS

Failover service monitors the primary IP at 5 minute intervals. Upon the IP not pinging, it switches the A record to the secondary IP, continues monitoring the primary, and when it comes back online, switches it back. Moreover, Failover solution guarantees that all your traffic will be automatically pointed over to a secondary IP that has been set up at another location, once your website is offline.

To add Failover DNS first go to VPS.NET Dashboard then press “Manage my DNS” then choose your domain.

In section “Failover (Host)” choose “Convert existing record to Failover” and press “Add” button.

On pop-up window add Failover IP and press “Add failover record” button.

Done. Failover DNS is added and should work now.
